The Fun Ones

I’ve written multiple serious non-fiction books about gender politics. These aren’t that. They are things I did because they brought me joy. I hope they give you joy, too.

Dead Blondes and Bad Mothers at BPAL

(Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab.)

Dead Blondes and Bad Mothers is a book about blood, guts, birth, death, serial killers and very slimy creatures. Now, at last, you can smell like it.

The legendary indie Goth perfumers at Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab, have made smells for eight of the archetypes in Dead Blondes and Bad Mothers. All are creepy; all are good; one of them lets you smell like Ed Gein’s mom. The dream!

Apocalypse 1999, or: The Devil in Jenny Long

(apocalypse1999.com) (Itch.io)

There are three things you need to know that no-one has ever told you:

1) The apocalypse started in Columbus, Ohio in 1999.

2) The Devil rose to reclaim the Earth.

3) Nick Casini and Jenny Long started it. They’re sorry.

Apocalypse 1999 is a ‘90s horror comedy about childhood friendship, demon possession, and the end of everything we know, and a coming-of-age tale featuring trans, queer and disabled characters who get to do something besides talking about how trans, queer and disabled they are.

A99 was assembled with an all-trans team of readers, editors, writers (well, just Jude, mostly) and illustrators, and is available for free. Donations will be sent to non-profits benefiting trans and gender-non-conforming people, as selected by our team.
